Breaking Free From Unhealthy Habits

The law of nature is evident. Our actions are our only belongings, and we can’t escape their consequences.

Overeating, oversleeping, overbrowsing, overbuying. Anything with “over” implies the activity is unhealthy.

Anything with over implies that you couldn’t control a desire. The more you let all these overs be the norm, the more volatile the future will be.

You have to be honest with yourself and understand that these desires are unskillful. So you must build the skill to overcome them.

You must acknowledge that even though these desires can be very intense, you can get rid of them.

By practicing mindfulness on a daily basis, you can reshape how you respond to what’s not good for you. As a result, you’ll create a better future for yourself and those around you.
